Sherborne Banking Hub – Coming Soon!

We’re thrilled to announce that Sherborne Post Office has been chosen to operate the new Banking Hub in our town! As your local postmaster, I’m proud to take on this contract to ensure our community continues to have access to essential cash and banking services, especially with the upcoming closure of Sherborne’s last bank branch, Lloyds.

What is the Banking Hub?

The Sherborne Banking Hub, delivered in partnership with Cash Access UK and the Post Office, will be a shared banking space designed to serve everyone in our community. It’s a modern solution to keep face-to-face banking alive in Sherborne, offering:

  • Post Office Counter Services: Available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where customers of any bank can withdraw and deposit cash, pay bills, and handle everyday banking transactions.
  • Community Banker Support: Private consultation spaces where you can speak directly with a representative from your own bank for more complex queries. Different banks will be available on a rotating schedule throughout the week (specific bank days to be confirmed closer to opening).

Why This Matters

With the closure of Lloyds Bank, the Banking Hub will step in to fill the gap, ensuring you don’t have to travel far for cash access or banking support. Whether you rely on cash, prefer in-person services, or need help with something online banking can’t solve, the Hub will be here for you.

When Will It Open?

We’re working hard with Cash Access UK to get the Banking Hub up and running as soon as possible. While we don’t have an exact opening date yet, we’re aiming to open before the Lloyds branch closes.
